Technical Project Manager
Welcome to my website. I'm Mark and I'm a technical project manager.
Over the last decade I have had the great privilege of working in a number of industries, including manufacturing, satellite navigation, space and cyber. In that time I have risen from an associate project manager to a lead technical project manager. It's been an interesting journey and one that has been very rewarding.
I graduated from university as an engineer, with modules covering design, manufacturing, software engineering and law. However it wasn't until my year in industry that I discovered the profession of project management, and I've been involved in it ever since.
Feel free to browse my website and have a look at the work I have been involved in over my career. If you would like to know more about anything covered below, feel free to contact me; my details can be found at the bottom of this page.

Capability uplift comes with a number of challenges. On this project I had to deliver a new data centre, whilst transferring the existing in use infrastructure to the new facility and ensure continuous operation throughout.
The days of dedicated hardware are fast becoming a distant memory. One of my latest projects involves taking a software application from old monolithic architecture to platform as a service. The learning curve on this project was my most challenging to date.
One of the navigation industry's biggest problems how do we manufacture a product which has so many sensitive parts in mass quantity. The answer; work with a great team, a great supplier and some of the best just in time planning I have ever done.
Like most technology projects I end up managing I have to quickly get up to speed. This project worked with academia to developer new capability to the MoD. The project took a concept right through to manufacture and was the first end-to-end project I managed.
Martin-Baker make the best safety seat systems in the world. Thats why over 190 countries come to the for their products. Developing a new capability for the US Military and riding in a Chinook as a result still remains one of my favourite projects to date.
I never want to forget where I came from. My first ever project that I managed was at university. To develop a new scooter design for children. The end product was brilliant and great fun to ride, even for big kids! But what this taught me is that I could be a leader.
